Sick in bed for the first five days of a ten-day vacation, I stumbled onto a guided meditation with a breathwork element. Something shifted. I went back to it the next day, and the day after that.

I'm a recovering attorney with two advanced degrees and a deeply Type A personality. For years I ran a copywriting team for a top online marketing brand, living in the permanent chaos of launch cycles. My body eventually said: absolutely not.

What is breathwork, exactly?

Intentional, conscious control of your breath to create a specific physical result. Not just observing it like in meditation, actively directing it. That's what makes it so fast-acting.

How quickly will I notice a difference?

Most people feel a shift in as few as 2 to 3 minutes. The results are fast because the mechanism is biological, not motivational. Studies consistently show measurable changes in heart rate and blood pressure within minutes of intentional breathing.

Do I need any prior experience?

None. Everyone who has ever learned breathwork started from zero, including me. I explain everything step by step, in plain language, so you can actually use it in the moment rather than just understand it in theory.

Are there any medical considerations?

No prerequisites, but some techniques aren't right for everyone. If you have medical conditions that concern you, check with your doctor first. A breathwork coach can build a program around your specific situation.
